It is said, “Insurance is a Good Thing to Already Own”. Taking a risk might be good with poker or with your stocks, but when it comes to renting a car, do you really want to forgo insurance? It is sure that car rental insurance is complicated (even the counter agents don't know everything), but it is an unwise decision to drive without a safety net. Don't be careless! As much as you want to relax on your holidays, car accidents don't go on vacation, even when you do.
EVEN IF IT IS YOUR MISTAKE OR NOT, IN CASE OF A COLLISION ALL OUR CARS HAVE THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE COVERAGE FREE (WITHOUT ANY CHARGE):
1) Accident assistance: when you dial the telephone number 210 9951501 a specialist will arrive wherever you are. He will assist you with the accident procedures until the police arrive.
2) Replacement of your damaged vehicle with a new one to continue your vacation.
3) Transportation of the driver and all passengers to your hotel, or airport.
4) Transportation of the damaged car to the garage.
5) Third party Insurance.
- For any damage you make to other persons, animals or property (see more details below).
6) Fire Insurance.
- Partial or total damage to the vehicle resulting from fire.
7) Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I.).
- Covers the driver for doctor and medicine expenses (see more details below).
HERE IS SOME ADDITIONAL COVERAGE. WITH A SMALL EXTRA CHARGE YOU CAN HAVE THIS COVERAGE ON TOP OF ALL THE ABOVE.
This insurance relieves you of financial responsibility if your car is damaged or completely destroyed in an accident (see more details below) and you can choose to have:
ð Full Insurance (C.D.W.) without excess: You are totally covered.
ð Full Insurance (C.D.W.) with excess: You pay up to 200 euros for cars in A,B,C,D group and 500 euros for cars in E,E4,F1,F2 groups.
Covers all damages to the car that do not take place in an accident. Specifically, damages to tires and wheels, underside of the car, exterior of the car such as scratches on the surface while parked, mirrors. Additionally, it covers damages to the interior valet, as well as small parts stolen from the car (i.e. mirrors, antennas, etc) and damages after a break-in attempt. Finally, this insurance covers the total theft of the car.
þ The Third-party Insurance covers damages to property up to 200.000 euros and to people up to 500.000 euros (excluding passengers of rental vehicle).
þ Theft Insurance covers the stolen car; not your stolen personal belongings.
þ The Personal Insurance for the driver covers damages for up to 18.000 euros.
þ Damages to tires, wheels, underside and interior of the car are not covered by the Full Insurance (C.D.W.). The same applies for theft of small parts of the car (i.e. mirrors, wipers, etc.), scratches on the surface of the car, damages to the underside of the car as well as damages to the car resulting from a break-in (broken locks, windows, interior valet, etc.).
þ For Full Insurance (CDW) with excess the driver must present a valid major credit card in his/her name upon collection of the vehicle. The same applies for all who request rentals with no insurance coverage at all.
þ Insurance will be void if an accident occurs where drugs or alcohol are involved.
þ Parking tickets and traffic fines are paid by the renter. No insurance covers broken or lost car keys.
Cancellation Insurance 5 Euro
In case your cannot come to join your holidays because of any reason you don't have to pay the cancellation fee of 1-3 rental days.
Minimum driving experience is of 3 years. For rental of vehicle groups 0 until D clients must be at least 23 old. For rental of all others groups, clients must be at least 28 years old. If you are more than 70 years old, please state so during your rental request.
For every car we deliver, the level of fuel is taken note of. The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a charge of Euro 10 will be applied in addition to the cost of the missing fuel. If the vehicle is returned with more fuel, there is no money-refund.
For vehicle drop-offs, a maximum tolerance of 59 minutes is allowed, after which, an extra day’s rental will be charged.
In case of keys' loss the client will be charged of Euro 150. In case of documents' loss the client will be charged of Euro 60.
Maintenance expenses will not be reimbursed without prior authorisation from our staff and without presentation of a receipt made out to Π.ΚΟΚΑΛΗΣ ΑΕ.
Any complaints must be received by our main office within 60 days of the closure of the rental agreement.

THE BEST S.A. will make every effort to supply the reserved model of vehicle. However, it is impossible for us to guarantee that a specific model will be provided. If the make/model of vehicle that you booked is not available then the rental agent will supply a suitable alternative from the same vehicle group classification or from a larger group.
On collection of your vehicle you need
1. your rental voucher, which you will have received by email when your reservation was confirmed,
2. a full valid international (EU or US) driver's license for a minimum of 3 years,
3. a major credit card in the driver’s name (only in case no additional insurance cover options have been selected during reservation),
THE BEST S.A. can not be held responsible for rentals rejected if you do not present the above documents at collection of car.
A reservation is only confirmed once you receive a reservation voucher (confirmation) from THE BEST S.A.. This voucher must be produced on collection of your vehicle.
No deposit is needed for a reservation to be made. In exceptional cases (e.g. reservations in High Season) a 20% of the rental will be needed to secure your reservation. In any case the staff of THE BEST S.A. will inform you accordingly.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver Insurance) is included in all rates. If you wish to decline this insurance, please note THE BEST S.A. will not deal with foreign policies or credit card companies in the event of damages to the hired vehicle. Renters will have to pay for damages on return of vehicle and THE BEST S.A. will issue them copies of all paperwork so they may make the claim themselves.
All rates quoted include one driver only. All extra drivers are subject to the same age and license requirements as the hirer of the vehicle. Generally there is no maximum number of drivers per vehicle. The charge for an additional driver is found when you book online.
Vehicles can't be taken outside of the Country where they were collected from.
Please inform us as soon as possible for canceling /or amending your reservation.
The renter will be required to inform the rental agent immediately of any accident.
The renter must take the following measures:
- Obtain complete details of the persons involved in the accident as well as of any possible witnesses.
- Immediately provide the rental agent with all the details regarding the accident, which may be of use.
- Immediately notify the authorities if the third party should be investigated or in the event of injured persons.
- Do not leave the vehicle without taking correct measures to protect and safeguard it.
